[ltp] t41p - screen turns off without a reason

Hi,

yesterday i got the same problem. Screen blanks after a random time and
the whole system freezes. I use an R50p with an ati card, 2.6.15.4 and
xorg radeon driver.=20
I'am using rovclock to underclock the GPU, perhaps it has something
todo with it.=20
Perhaps it's a problem because of thermal issues .. cause the fan isn't
able to cool the system under heavy load, even if I use the disengage
mode (echo 0x2F 0x40 > /proc/acpi/ibm/ecdump) the CPU temp
reaches 94=B0 and the system shutsdown. (this worked earlier but I do not
excatly remember when and under which configuration this worked)=20
Yesterday I tried to figure out what todo against that overheating
problem and the system shuts down several times. Since then I
experienced that "screen turnoff probs" and whenever I plug my TP to my
dockingstation the screen blanks and the system freezes. The day before
yesterday this worked without any problems.=20
Perhaps the overheating damaged my GPU or something like that .. I fear.
