[ltp] 2.6.16, hotplug, and ultrabay ?

All,

The system is a 600x with fc5 and a 2.6.16 kernel. I have several 
ultrabay plugins, including DVD, battery, and a harddrive caddy. They 
all work however the only way to change the harddrive caddy is through a 
reboot. Even when suspended attempts to either remove it or plug it in 
result in beeb-beep- ...

Is there any way to rescan the ultrabay and a hardbay caddy without a 
reboot?

btw - the hd caddy is really nice.
