For tp_smapi, other possible machines that will cause trouble:
A3x series (DMI info not reported to thinkwiki yet); All A3x have ECs.
X2x series (includes the X24) -- if the X24 doesn't report the EC, the older
X2x models won't, either; all of the X series have ECs.
T23 (DMI info not reported to thinkwiki yet). Has an EC (first T series
model to have one, apparently).
G4x series. It is unknown if they have an EC, no EC firmware updates were
ever issued, but the G41 is reported to support SMAPI stuff that is typical
of ThinkPads with an EC.
R50 (DMI info not reported to thinkwiki yet). Has an EC.
None of the above has HDAPS hardware, AFAIK.
Please, if anyone has access to any of the above ThinkPad models, *report*
their DMI IDs to ThinkWiki, see
http://www.thinkwiki.org/wiki/List_of_DMI_IDs.
If anyone has a G4x machine available, please check how much of tp_smapi
works and report to http://www.thinkwiki.org/wiki/Tp_smapi.
