It even runs bearably fast in both environments on my T23 (1,2GHz &
1Gig RAM).  Unfortunately, under Debian (always the latest unstable)
the machine almost always freezes shortly after starting the program.
Under Ubuntu/Dapper i haven't experienced any freezes caused by
googleearth so far. *knocks on wood*
