[ltp] Seagate ST9100823A on a T23?

I am considering buying a Seagate ST9100823A 100GB drive for my T23.
However, after reading some of the threads here and the ThinkWiki
entries on the problems with certain drives (including this Seagate
model) in the T43 and others I thought I'd better ask if anyone can
tell me whether there would be a problem using the ST9100823A in a
T23.  Is the incompatibility limited to the T43/X41/R52 or should I
stay away from the ST9100823A altogether?  Thanks.  John
