[ltp] Dead T21- help!

I hope someone out there can help me! I went to start up my faithful T21
(Mepis) this evening for the first time in a week or so, and it's dead.
All that happens is a flash of the hard drive light as I push the power
button, otherwise nothing- no drive noise, nothing on the screen- nothing.

I tried the dodge of removing all the power and batteries and holding
down the power button for 2 minutes- didn't help.

It has been sitting in it's dock for the last week (yes- with both
batteries in- I know that's a no-no), and it was fine last time I used
it. The only weirdness I can think of is that we did have a power outage
last week for about 3 hours when a wire fried on the pole down the
street, but the dock is plugged into a ups.

Please help if you can! TIA
