OK, I have a weird one here:
Lenovo had delivered me an X60s (1702-3QA), which didnt have bluetooth in
it. I cribbed, and they promised to replace it with a model that did -
this was the 1706-7FA.
The bluetooth wasn't the only difference - this new TP has a T2400
processor instead of the L2400. I was told that there would be "some
batterly life difference", but what I am actually experiencing is 3.5
hours (max 4 hours with highly aggressive power management) against almost
7 hours (both under windows - under linux slightly lower numbers).
This is unacceptable to me - I bought the X60 for both the portability and
the battery life, and having almost the same battery life as my old
notebook from 3 years ago is a major downer.
Question: anyone here who is using a X60 (1706 series) with longer battery
life than what I am getting? Have I been handed a lemon, and should I
complain?, or did I get what I asked for? I know that Lenovo has 1702
models with bluetooth as well, should I ask for *yet* another swap?
TIA
Atul
