you had 7 hours of battery life? with the original standard battery?

I've got this battery

cat /proc/acpi/battery/BAT0/info
present: yes
design capacity: 28800 mWh
last full capacity: 29070 mWh
battery technology: rechargeable
design voltage: 14400 mV
design capacity warning: 1453 mWh
design capacity low: 200 mWh
capacity granularity 1: 1 mWh
capacity granularity 2: 1 mWh
model number: 92P1163
serial number: 2046
battery type: LION
OEM info: SANYO

and the best I can get is 2 hours!
I consider this rather bad but am still not sure if I owe this to the
hardware or to myself because I had no time to look into power-management
yet.

fact is, I had some hard time getting the suspend up and running with my
sata chipset. this one works now using some patches to a 2.6.18-rc5 kernel.

how's the difference in hardware between your 1706-7fa and my 1702-55g AND
much mor important - did they give me an OLD model? I got mine only two
weeks ago.
