Dear listmembers,
I have seen discussions about this, but no real solution (AFAI Understood).=
=20
So, here is the phenomenon, maybe some gentle person could shade a little=20
light on my apparently blind eyes:
I am using openSUSE 10.2 on the lenovo X60. Everything is working to my tot=
al=20
satisfaction except of two dumb key combinations, one of them I miss=20
seriously:
=46N-F7
=46N-F2
What I found out:
=2D> both of the sequences create ACPI-events:
=2D> xev does not "see" anything
=2D> for both keys simply nothing seems to happen.

the file /usr/lib/dockutils/dockhandler contains nothing meaningful in this=
=20
regard, those events are simply ignored :-(
The module ibm_acpi is loaded. I thought I might be able to disable the vid=
eo=20
display manually, but in vain:
cat /proc/acpi/ibm/video
status: supported
lcd: enabled
crt: disabled
dvi: disabled
auto: enabled
commands: lcd_enable, lcd_disable
commands: crt_enable, crt_disable
commands: dvi_enable, dvi_disable
commands: auto_enable, auto_disable
commands: video_switch, expand_toggle
echo "lcd_disable" > /proc/acpi/ibm/video
does nothing. The display remains on, the file /proc/acpi/ibm/video does no=
t=20
change.
Any ideas for me? Any hints how to proceed from here? Any additional=20
information required?
=46N-F7 would be a dream, FN-F2 is nothing to miss too badly.
Many thanks for your efforts in advance,
take care
