Yes, it is. I've had a different weird behaviour though with wlassitant which
may be related. I couldn't connect to a wpa2 protected network with wlassistant
if wpa_gui wasn't running at the same time. For some reason if I was not
watching what wpasupplicant was doing it wouldn't connect.
