[ltp] Internal LCD stays black

Hi *,

when I close the lid of my Thinkpad X40 and reopen if after a while, the 
internal LCD stays black and won't turn on again. My external second 
display is not affected and does power up again. This sometimes also 
occurs when I did a suspend to RAM. Switching to a virtual console, 
brings the internal display on, but after switching back to X, the 
display goes black again.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Even commandos like: xset dpms ... etc have no effect.

My distributions are Ubuntu Hardy, and OpenSuSE 11.0.
