It's a Samsung HM500LI, see
http://www.samsung.com/global/business/hdd/productmodel.do?group=72&type=62&subtype=67&model_cd=373
It's 9,5 mm high. I've seen different reports on how 12,5 mm drives fit
and decided to go with a 9,5mm.
As others have remarked, Lenovo does not support non-Lenovo drives. I've
had my system board replaced under the on-site warranty while this
harddisk and 4 GB non-Lenovo RAM was installed. He asked for the
original RAM to test if that would change things (fried board, couldn't
turn on the laptop), but as it didn't he put the others back in. No
comments on the harddrive though.
So unless you're buying for the whole company and off-site repair is a
regular thing, I wouldn't worry about it.
