Hi,
I have compiled my own 2.6.24.2 kernel with some thinkpad specific patches. Problem is during booting I see nothing or garbage. Once xserver starts up everything is fine. (even terminal mode if I don't use the vga option as kernel option)
I have a T42 with a 1024x768 internal lcd and a Radeon Mobility M7 LW [Radeon Mobility 7500]
The boot option are set to vga=791 splash=silent
Removing these options results in similar garbage.
dmesg reports this:
radeonfb_pci_register BEGIN
