ThinkWiki says Seagate ST9100821A (100GB) and ST9120821A (120GB) both 5400
RPM will "generally" work. Issue is two-fold, does the drive have the
head park on demand bit, and does the drive really do it. There are a
larger number of drives up to 120GB that will work, but still get the BIOS
complaint because they report "wrong" on query.
I have yet to hear of a Fujitsu getting a BIOS error, let alone failing in
test. MHV2120AH (120GB, 5400 RPM) are my preferred drives, pick them up
in the Apricom Extreme 120GB drive kit for a song, with a full 3 year
warrantee to boot. If you favor quiet over speed, go for the MHV2120AT
(120GB, 4200 RPM). I actually found FRU numbers for the MHV2100AH (100GB,
5400 RPM) and the MHV2120AH mentioned earlier, as accessory drives for the
T43/T43p.
