The largest drives (non-IBM ones) that don't trigger the error are Fujitsu MHV2100AH (100GB/5400rpm) and MHV2120AH (120GB/5400rpm).
These have been discontinued last year and expect to pay a premium ($100 or more) for a sealed one.
The fastest drives were Hitachi ones, with IBM FRU #, 100GB/7200rpm.
Good luck.
Cheers,
George
