Do you use KMS? If yes, I'd try the 2.6.32 kernel from Sid, 2.6.30 was work-in-progress
regarding Intel graphics driver rework and hat a lot of problems.

Posting some more information about your setup (config, log files,
version information) might result in more helpful replies.
