temporarily unavailable" is the only error message I got from
/var/log/messages at beginning. Then using ppp it showed "modprobe:
can't locate module char-major-108".

I'm using 10L7393 IBM pcmcia modem with tp600e under redhat 6.1.

I just couldn't dial out at all after so many trials....

I did exclude port 0x2f8-0x2ff, disable the internal modem, enable the
serial driver, map the unrecognized modem to serial_cs,....everything
possible I could try. Did I miss anything?

Any pointers are greatly appreciated

Carl
