[ltp] pcmcia_core module fails to find cards in pcmcia ??

All,

I upgraded to RH 9 from RM 8. RH 8 worked fine; I ran kernel 2.4.22.

After upgrading the 2.4.22 kernel, with all the 600x config parm's, 
failed to locate any pcmcia cards. It blew past them in the boot. 
'cardctl' shows no cards and 'more /proc/ioports' shows no cards.

If I manualy load the modules in the right order I can make some 
progress; but can't make it work and the network scripts still doesn't 
recognize the cards.

Is this known?

Is there a fix or a workaround?
