I've just got 2.6.0 working on my T40p
(apm mode with vesa framebuffer at the moment)

Now /proc/cpufreq has some values
(though /proc/sys/cpu/0/* remain 0)

I'm not sure which of these power saving programs to use...

cpudyn just says

cpudynd version 0.4.3 Copyright: Ricardo Galli <gallir@uib.es>
cpudynd: CPU frequency control disabled
Error: Nothing to do, exiting

cpufreqd  seems to work
Sep 2 18:26:41 up cpufreqd: parse_config(): reading configuration file
/etc/cpufreqd.conf
Sep 2 18:26:41 up cpufreqd: Starting operations.
Sep  2 18:26:41 up cpufreqd: pid: 947
Sep  2 18:26:41 up cpufreqd: set_policy(): 0%0%100%performance - profile
name: perf.
Sep 2 18:26:48 up cpufreqd: Caught TERM signal (Terminated).
Sep 2 18:27:00 up cpufreqd: parse_config(): reading configuration file
/etc/cpufreqd.conf
Sep 2 18:27:00 up cpufreqd: Starting operations.
Sep  2 18:27:00 up cpufreqd: pid: 953
Sep  2 18:27:00 up cpufreqd: set_policy(): 0%0%100%performance - profile
name: perf.

i've not yet recompiled the tpctl stuff so i haven't tried apmiser
yet...

any experiences, recommendations, etc.?

thanks!
