[ltp] acpi suspend is not really suspend 2.6.1pre

When I do an echo 3 > /proc/acpi/power
the system appears to suspend
but the little moon light on the lid never lights up.

it resumes just fine if i press the power button.

but it is using much more battery power than apm suspend
it doesn't even survive one night "suspended" with acpi

also i've noticed that the buttons no longer work after a resume - even
if i reload the button module i get nothing from the lid button.

anybody having success with suspend and acpi in 2.6.0+ ?

thanks!
