I used APM on my R50p initially because ACPI just didn't seem to work.
After subscribing to this list, I was able to clean up a few issues I
had with my system. One of them was moving to ACPI instead of APM.
Without the acpi_sleep=s3_bios entry, my system would always go to sleep
and wake-up, but the display was lost completely. Adding this parameter
made everything work.

I see no reason why it would not work on an A22, though I, obviously, do
not have Boris' knowledge about these systems and ACPI, since he wrote
the ibm_acpi helper module. Perhaps he has better insight.

| Will this work with an A22p? I want to enjoy the benefits of using ACPI
| with this system. At the present time, I have ACPI commented out with
| acpi=off and am using APM instead because the system will write to the
| save2dsk.bin file (BIOS supported hiberation.)
