Hmm, curious,

I've added another two settings/logs here:

What I see is strange.

I don't think I ever tried just to load DRI on its own, but that appears =

to work.

If I load GLX as well, then it also loads according to the log, but I=20
see a black screen where the only escape is to sleep the machine, wake=20
it up, sneak over to a text console and regain control.

The only other comment is that I just did:

    aptitude install xlibmesa-dri

But I have no idea what I'm doing :-)
