Careful, I think it's the case that the T61 will support 8 GB, but that
the T60 will not.

I bought 2 x 4 GB for an x60 and got only beep codes with either stick
installed. So I tried them in a T60 and got the same results. However
a pals x61s booted fine with both sticks installed.

The current plan is to sell them to another pal with a T61 who's been
looking to upgrade, so I can report on that later. But right now I'm
operating on the theory that *61+ supports 8GB and *60 supports only the
official 3 GB (though I'll be testing some 2x2 setups soon.)
