[ltp] help for ultrabase and X40

Hi.
I'm pretty confused after reading the thinkwiki and documentation
about how to eject cleanly my x40 from the ultrabase.
I tried with lt_hotswap (I use debian testing, 2.6.18, ibm_acpi) and
with the tool hotswap for debian but with no lock.
When I try to use the lever of my ultrabase my tiny thinkpad begins to
beep insistently.
Can I have some pointers about the best and clean way to eject and
docking my x40?

I can read the docs by myself but it seems (to me) that the wiki is
quite confusing, at least for my english.
