and make sure the PD supply can deliver at least the power indicated by
the adapter ID pin.  Most likely 65W.  But you'll have to measure the
resistance to verify. Most amazon/aliexpress/ebay sellers have no clue...

The charger inside the Thinkpad will attempt to pull as much power as
indicated by the barrel connector ID pin.  It doesn't know anything
about the PD supply behind it.  So it could easily overload the supply
if there is a mismatch.

There's also no point in oversizing the PD supply.  If the ID pin
resistance is 10 kΩ, then you won't be able to charge with more than 65W
even if the PD supply can deliver 100W
